7th Grade

Seventh Grade. This is hard. You know I thought that seventh grade was going to be awful. I was so wrong, and so dumb. I cant believe my brother told me about this grade was believed by this extra terrestrial brain of mine. I did though and here is the truth.

First of all I want you to forget everything your friends and siblings tell you, because its all a big lie. The big thing I want to point out is homework. Everyone goes around saying “Oh my god, I like, have so much freakin homework. I had to stay up til like 12:00 trying to finish it, and when I woke the next day it was gone and I like never found it again. Ugg I got like an F on the project.” This is a good example of an excuse a 7th grade student may have, now this is what really happened.

Chances are this student got home and pulled out his homework then decided to go to the bathroom and get a snack, then afterwards he decided to play some videogames, then He had to go out to dinner with his family. Then late at 10:00 he realizes that that paper is sitting there in his room, and he runs up to finish it, then his mom comes up to tell him to go to bed or else, so he is forced to sleep. In the morning he has forgotten about the paper and gets in the bus to go to school. He realizes that he hasn’t done it and decides to throw it away and come up with some lame excuse.

Another thing I want to talk about is bullies. yes they do exist, but they are easily avoided. First of all if you don’t want attention from bullies then don’t present yourself as a target. Don’t where rich people cloths or cloths that don’t suit you, just be casual. Second if you’ve been targeted then just stop complaining and stay away from them. If they come to you just completely ignore them because its not worth your time to listen to some goon go on about how dumb you are or something. Just walk away because they are being ignorant and you are being intelligent.

Don’t feel like this is going to ruin your seventh grade though because seventh grade is really fun especially if your in band. Seventh grade band is the best. Not only do you get to go to six flags but you also get to play much more difficult music not saying its hard but is more fun then jingle bells. I play saxophone and I have improved so much in only two years, and I can’t imagine the skills I will have by the time I’m an adult. I also joined jazz band because I was bored with my other elective and it was such an improvement to my schedule. Join Jazz band it’s great trust me just do it!

Overall, I had a great year and I cant wait for eighth grade.

P.S.
Join Jazz Band!

At the start of the year my posts were about the size of this paragraph.

Now I enjoy more detailed posts that have have paragraphs in the first place that are larger than half of my thumb. Also when I first started blogging I didn’t even use paragraphs. I just used stubby little sentences that nobody cared to look at because they were so small, but now my posts are so large that nobody wants to look at them because they are to lazy to read the mass of words.

I don’t blame them though. If I was someone else I would take one glance at one of my posts before turning off the computer and wailing the words, “What has the world come tooooooooo!” Then I would never look at their blog again. Not even my own dad wants to read some of my posts, but me and my mom force him.

Overall I have become a much more skilled writer and I am going to continue writing mor posts throughout the summer ahead.

Easter

Easter blooms, blossoms, and shines. Happiness takes a steep incline.

Eggs scattered across the yard the Easter bunny runs with mice at her guard for the kids are ready to run outside to grab at the eggs for what’s inside.

When the eggs were all gotten as gotten they should, the kids stuffed their faces as much as they could.

Then they all fell asleep, their faces covered in chocolate as their parents went down stairs and watched a movie without them.

The movie they watched Jesus superstar, reminded them of their own Easters as kids. And when they finished the kids got in the car, and they drove and they drove down south Lamar only to arrive at HEB when mom came out with a large turkey.

When the turkey was theirs at the table they stared as mom cut the first slice and dad said, ” How nice.” So we all ate our dinner smothered with gravy we all said thank you and good night.

The Deadly Swing

One summer day in Washington. 75* outside. I stood out front smelling the cool summer air when my mom came out of the rented cabin we were staying in and told me we were going to the lake. I walked up the cracked stone steps up the driveway then jumped into the old navy blue 2004 Sienna Toyota whose electric door wasn’t working. We started driving through the beautiful country side.

We were on vacation with are aunt and uncle. They lived in the old house across the street that had a bee farm a garden and a pasture that they could probably put cattle in but they say it would be too much work.

So we’re riding in the the car with are relatives squished beside us my dad driving. We have a kayak in the back. While we are driving me and my brother spot a swing that goes into the lake and we both decide that when we get to the lot we would go find it. We soon arrived at the lake and we all admired the amazing view of Mt Rineer. We all walk to the lake and stick our toes in before diving head first into the cool refreshing lake water. We all pop up with big grins on our faces before my brother and I leave the pack to go find the swing we saw earlier.

We decided to swim to the swing because my brother doesn’t have any shoes, but we get tired and decide to walk on the side. We arrived at a large plateau of rock that crumble really easily leaving shards that could possibly cut your feet. My brother refused to continue because he said his feet hurt. (By the way my brother is older than me) I give him my sandals and we continue up the hell like landscape of shard rock. When we get to the main trail we realize that there is more shard rock and I let out a loud grunt each step I take my feet screaming in agony, but I continue. This was an adventure, and I would do anything to reach that destination. By the time we arrived I had three cuts on my left foot and eight cuts on my right foot, and they all hurt like crazy

The swing was lame and dangerous looking there were large rocks inches from the top of the water and you had to make it at least six feet before you reached the deep end. There was also a ton of shard rock and a cliff that went in the water with tree with the rope on it just dangling off the edge.

We both decided that I would go first, so I stepped out to reach for the rope. I stretched out my arm and just glanced the edge of the rope before slipping. I fell onto my butt, but I had grabbed a root before I could fall into the shallow pool. My brother ran down and helped me up. We decided to use a stick get the rope. My brother reached out and hooked the swing before bring it in. We both held our breaths as I prepared to jump. There were five things that could happen; I could slip and plummet to my death, the rope could possibly not support my weight and I would plummet to my death, I might hit the rocks on the bottom and die, or I would swing back afraid to let go and die of impact and fall, or hopefully I would let go and make it to the deep end. The odds? Probably not in my favor, but I wasn’t going now. So I took a deep breath and swung with all my might. I whooshed through the air out of the water and let go, then I fell. I fell, and fell, and fell. I then hit the water. Splash!

I was alive that’s for sure because I came up breathing in air my brother had his eyes fixed on me shocked I asked how id done and he said I had missed the rock with about three inches. We swam back going with the current and told our parents.

I still hate swings that are unsure of safety, and I am not to fond of taking risks these days, for I will never forget the swing of death.

Ben 10

When I was little. Like around the age of 6, I loved Ben 10. It was the best show on cartoon network. I liked it so much, I must have spent more than 50 hours watching the same 25 episodes over and over again.

I liked Ben 10 because it had a lot of fighting and violence and suspense. There was always some alien or super villain right behind Ben’s back. The wasp, evil four arms, doctor doom, and the lot ness monster were all villains that Ben had to face in the TV show. I can still remember every single episode. I f you told me a joke that was said or a phrase or something I would be able to tell you the episode that it was in.

I loved Ben 10 until the next series came out. The next series was terrible. The Jokes were horrible, and he has completely different aliens that he turns into. The worst part of the new show is probably the fact that he’s a teen ager, not a kid. If I go watch a TV show today chances are it will be Ben 10.

My Happiest Moments

I’ve been thinking about the most happiest things that have ever happened to me and I must say, I think I could cast quite powerful patronis. The three most happy things that ever happened to me was probably the time I went go kart riding, another is the time I went to Great America for the first time ever, and the time I opened a darth Vador mask at Christmas was the best of all.

The first time I went go kart riding was at k1 speed. It was so exhilarating cutting the corners overtaking 1,2,3 people. Zooming through the finish line at the end coming 1st place, just above my dad. My brother came in three away from last place. After the gator accident he doesn’t like going fast in vehicles. It was awesome I had so much fun. I can still remember when we jumped back into the car that was parked in the parking lot, and my dad saying, “Woah it feels weird to be returning to the Subaru.” When we got home I bragged about it for at least an hour before being told off by my parents.

The second happiest moment of my life must be the time I went to Great America, an amusement park with loads of roller coasters drop towers, and other great rides I will always remember. My favorite was the demon. It was the only roller coaster I could go on that had loopdyloops. It was so fun my dad and I went to bumper cars at one time. I really enjoyed bumper cars. It’s really fun to target one person the whole time until they get angry. I had so much fun that I lost my parents who went to go eat lunch. They had told me to stay at a ride until they got back, but I was determined to go on all of them. I found their crazed faces while I was on a Ferris wheel so I decided to go see what was wrong. My mom was furious with me when we left and we had a long chat in the car.

The happiest time of my life was… Drumroll please… Crash. The time I opened a present at Christmas. This was the first the first Christmas that I understood what was going on. I knew what presents were and what a tree was. I also knew that no matter what it was going to be a great day. It had started when my brother had shaken me awake and told me it was Christmas. I had smiled, jumped out of bed and dashed downstairs to see large stacks of presents. I had just stood there for to whole minutes before running into my parents room and jumping on their bed. They both told that it was 7:00 in the morning and that I should go back to bed, but I insisted, so they got up. I was almost about to scream when my dad said he had to go get his camera. When he got back I dashed to the nearest present being stopped by my dad who said to wait so he could set up his camera, so I waited, but when he said 3,2,1 action I was already at the first present ripping off the shiny snowman rapping that flew to the floor in all directions. The first word I saw was Star Wars. I flung the last bit of rapping away. There in front of me was a real darth Vador mask. I picked it up and shook it all around while screaming, “I got a darth Vador mask!” I will never forget it.

These are some of my happiest memories, and I will never forget them. I don’t have the mask anymore because it broke 3-5 years ago but the excitement I’d had when I opened it will stick with me for life. I still love to go karting at k1 speed with my friends and family. I also love theme parks and hope to go to another on soon.

Miniatures

One of my most favorite hobbies is miniature painting. The reason I enjoy it so much it because of the finished product. I like to paint and then set my models up on my desk. I dust them every now and then to keep them clean. Now you might be wondering how I paint my models, well I’m about to explain.

First of all your going to need a model to paint. My favorite website to order the figures is http://games-workshop.com . Basically there are two major sections. Warhammer, or warhammer40k. Warhammer is more midevilish because there are no guns. It’s all basic swords and other melee weapons, although I’m not sure they have Bowes. Warhammer40k on the other hand is more in the future with space ships and guns, rocket launchers, tanks, and giant robots that smash the brains out of enemies.

The second step is the paint. I use citadel paints bought from the same website because they are made for the type of models I like. If you have a different brand that works for you more go ahead and use those ones. When I paint I use a primer first, what this does is allows the paint to stick to the model. If you are painting a metal model primer is almost required or else the paint won’t stick as well as it could.

The first paints you are going to use are base paints these will create a nice first layer to the model. If the model is going to have lots of different colors use the one that covers most of the model. Spraying is the best technic for base coating. I recommend an airbrush, but a spray can works fine too. I currently do not have an airbrush in my possession at this time, but I am very excited to acquire one soon. If you are painting a very large model then it is a good idea to mask off the places you do not want to paint with masking tape and then paint.

Paint everywhere on the model with base paint, then for the highlights use a layer paint.

After highlighting cover the model in varnish. After varnishing apply a wash. A wash is a very diluted paint. These can be bought from games workshop or made at home by adding water to dark paint until suited for model. Look up videos online to find more information on washes. After applying the wash make your base for the model. Once you’ve done that your done. Yay.

Chuy’s And The Best Fried Chicken And Mac In Austin

Let's Go to Chuy's
Creative Commons License Photo Credit: Thomas Hawk via Compfight

Chuy’s is favorite restaurant, not for the guacamole, but for the chicken. You might be saying to yourself, What? You eat chicken at a Mexican restraunt? Well this aint just any chicken, THIS IS FRIED CHICKEN!

The fried chicken at Chuy’s is really good. No other place in Austin makes it like them.  The batter is very thin but tasty making it perfect. When you bite in the meat flavor pours onto your tongue, but not in a bad way. In a good way.

They also make the most amazing mac and cheese this tummy has ever digested. It is even better then Trader Joes mac and cheese, and that stuff is freaken amazing. I could eat it all day long.

As you can see chuy’s is the best place to eat FRIED CHICKEN in Austin.

Why Karma Is Good/Bad

What would happen if good and bad karma really existed, we’ll I’m about to explain what would happen. There would be two sides the good side and the bad side. I will now explain them.

We’ll start with the good stuff. First off anyone who did something good will always get something in return. If you simply pick up one lousy pencil for someone anything could happen. You could be walking down a sidewalk and come across a twenty dollar bill lying in the road drainage. Karma also supposedly works like this. The reward will be as great as the deed performed, so if you just picked up a pencil you wouldn’t get anything that great. However if you did something so good the little fairy from Pinocchio comes round and shortens your nose. Then something good will happen. The thing is I can’t explain what would happen because nothing so great has ever happened to me.

There is also a bad side. It would be a not-very-good thing. Say you decide to steal the pencil instead. You might be walking down the road towards Starbucks to buy a cup of coffee, but on the way you trip and fall dropping the twenty dollar bill you were going to use down the drain. Now your probably thinking about what would happen if you did something really bad, like really really bad. I honestly have no clue there more than a million different consequences for a bad action.

As you can see from this post you might want to hope karma exists or you might not. Your choice just make sure you pick wisely.

Why a new language would be useful

Let’s just say that you happened to wake up in the morning one day and be able to speak Spanish. Sounds pretty cool doesn’t it, being able to talk to someone of the same tongue loudly while nobody but the two of you could understand. Well I’ll explain why.

First off when you win a vacation to some Spanish speaking island somewhere in the Caribbean’s because you won some game show. You would be able to communicate with one of the people working at the island and ask them where the airport bathroom is.

Second lots of Spanish speaking people are moving into America and having this new language would be helpful for growing a business, for you would be able to speak to more clients, and you would also be able to communicate with other company’s better.

As you can see learning new languages is helpful and you might want to hope that someday you’ll know one
